This pattern is available in Norwegian and English.
The shrug is made of knitted parts which are crocheted together. To change width, make several or less parts than stated. The length can be adjusted by make fewer or more repeats of diagram 3.
When no adjustments are done, each part weighs about 12 g.
During assembly, one will crochet forth and back between to knitted parts.
It started with an idea of leafs, put together, and a wish to combine knitting and crocheting.
The first version of this shrug was pink, and made of pure wool. It came out nice, but Aud B wanted to try a softer yarn, to see how that would affect the shrug. The combination of alpaca and silk is very soft, and nice to wear. And it has a light sheen.
Another change is the rib. The first version had purls. Rib was chosen because of it gives more flexibility to garments, and looks a little bit rougher.
At last the crocheting was made more open, as was the thought from the very beginning.
