  • Sizes: 2 (4) 6 (8) 10 (12) 14 years
  • Circumference bust: 60 (64) 67 (70) 73 (78) 83 cm
  • Length: approx. 33 (38) 42 (47) 52 (57) 62 cm
  • Length sleeves: approx. 20 (24) 28 (32) 36 (40) 44 cm
  • Yarn: baby merino wool, 150 (200) 200 (250) 250 (250) 300 grams main colour, 50 g contrast colour 1, 50 g contrast colour 2, 50 g contrast colour 3 (variable, switch between several colours, iy could very well be yarn left overs)
  • Gauge: 27 sts x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm stockinette stranded
  • Needles: 2,5 mm and 3 mm
  • Other: markers to follow the work

This pattern is available in Norwegian and will be translated to English. It contains written text and chart.


The sweater is knitted top down and with raglan. It is seamless and knitted in round.


When the raglan is finished the sleeves and body will be worked separately.

The story about Sweater Hjemover

 

When you cannot live at two places at the same time, but keeps both in your heart, then put the colours of home onto something movable. Something which make it possible to just with a glance recognizing a memory you cherish and care for. That’s what this design is about. To bring a piece of home with you.


The English word for Hjemover is homewards, and this sweater contains some of the colours in the winter landscape a place in the northern part of Norway.
